Kristin Gram

Suzuki Harp & Piano Specialist

Kristin Gram began studying harp under Delaine Fedson at the age of six, utilizing the Suzuki method.   She showed great promise as a young harpist, placing first in the Intermediate II Division of the American Harp Society National Competition in 1997.

Kristin attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, and studied under Susan Dedrich Pejovich.   While at SMU, she served as principal harpist for the Meadows Symphony Orchestra for three years.   She graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Music, receiving the Undergraduate Award for Excellence in Music.

Kristin continued her education at the University of Texas at Austin, again studying under Delaine Fedson.   She has served as the principal harp for the University of Texas Symphony for the past two years.   She graduated in December 2006 with a Masters in Music.

Besides performance, Kristin has a tremendous passion for teaching.   She has studied the Suzuki method under Mary Kay Waddington and Delaine Fedson and furthered her Suzuki piano training with Jane Kutscher Reed.   Gram has acquired varied teaching experience, most recently serving on the faculty of the UT String Project/Harp Project for the past two years.
