Facilities and Staff
The Suzuki Institute of Dallas provides an excellent family setting that is both sincerely warm and professional. The National Guild has certified the Suzuki Institute of Dallas as exemplifying the highest standards of excellence and access in community arts education.
The Suzuki Institute of Dallas' teaching studios are comfortable and designed so that listening to the lessons is a pleasurable experience. In all studios there is enough space to accommodate a limited number of observers. This is important, because when you come for a lesson at our school, you don't sit outside "waiting your turn" - you come in to observe the lesson before yours. Not only is this a good educational experience, but it also fosters the sense of community that our families cherish.
For pianists, each studio contains two pianos - one for the student and one for the teacher. This is important for the development of tone and technique on the piano. The teacher and student are then able to play together, so that the student may observe the teacher's actions and listen to their sound. This emulation of the teacher is an important aspect of the Suzuki method.

At the entrance to the school our smiling administrative assistant, Malori Fuchs, greets you. She's available for any questions or comments you might have regarding school billing, policies, or schedules. At the Suzuki Institute of Dallas, you never have to discuss billing questions with your teacher. That's a big relief for most people (and our teachers, as well.) Malori is also the first one to talk to if you want to find out if our school is right for you. She can also let you know the best times to observe any of our teachers in a lesson.
Our facilities also include a recital hall, with room for up to 100 people. It's a great place for student recitals and play-ins (fun once a month group activities). We also hold "Home Concert" recitals, where different families volunteer to host a recital in their homes on a revolving basis. Of course, the kids appreciate the receptions held after all these events, with their great tables of munchies and snacks.
Even with our wonderful facilities, the Suzuki Institute of Dallas has its greatest assets in its teachers and families that together have built a special atmosphere of musical togetherness. The basis for the Suzuki Philosophy is creating a special environment that fosters the development of every child's talent. At the Suzuki Institute of Dallas Talent Education Center, everything we do contributes to creating a community of learning where the potential of all children can be realized to the fullest extent.
