Vadim Timinsky
Suzuki Specialist, Classical Guitar Mr. Timinsky began studying guitar (click to view Mr. Timinsky's guitar page) at the age of ten with private teachers. He continued his studies at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music High School with the noted Estonian guitarist Tiit Peterson.
After studying in his native Estonia, he completed his education at the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music and Dance with Professor Joseph Urshalmi, where he received a BA in Music. Later, Vadim attended several master classes given by Aniello Desiderio (Italy), Costas Cociolis (Greece), Thomas Muller-Pering (Germany), Zoran Dukic (Chorvatia), Vladimir Mikulka (Chechoslavakia). In 2005 Mr. Timinsky completed his Master of Music in Classic Guitar Performance at SMU under professor Robert Guthrie. Mr. Timinski has done his Suzuki guitar training with Andrea Cannon.
He started giving recitals while still a student. He has also performed as a soloist and chamber musician at various guitar festivals in Estonia, Finland, Israel, Greece, and Germany. Mr. Timinsky is a professional member of the Dallas Classic Guitar Society. He frequently performs as a soloist as well as an ensemble member at Dallas area.
Mr. Timinsky is an excellent guitar teacher. He has given numerous master classes in several countries. His teaching method and approach to the development of classical guitar technique are the result of years of experience as a classical guitar teacher at different music institutions in Europe and USA.
One of the important conclusions he reached from his years of teaching is that the most desirable time to start development of a correctly relaxed technique is in the early stages of study.
